Class Dojo & Classroom Management

As I begin thinking about how I will manage my class when we are 1:1 in August, I lean towards the possibilities of Class Dojo. I also like the clip chart I use in my classroom because it really reinforces "setting a good example" kind of behaviors. Students love moving their clips up and (Shhh...don't tell!), but I never have my students move clips down. I know I know....so sneaky! I'm thinking about combining my clip chart and class dojo into one unified system. For every 5 dojo points earned, students receive a clip up. And if students receive a clip up, then they will earn 5 dojo points. My main concern is making sure that all students have opportunities to shine! Here is a Blendspace I created in order to share, brainstorm and collect valuable resources for implementing an effective behavior management system in the 1:1 classroom next year. I might even create some "dojo dollars." I like students being able to touch incentives and count them every Friday before they pay in! How do you keep your classroom running smoothly in a 1:1 setting?

P.S. I would really enjoy your feedback, comments and thoughts on this! Thank you! :)

    1. Yay! Thank you so much for commenting on my blog. I will definitely let you know how it goes. I've used Class Dojo before and the kids loved it. But I only used it for the last few months of school. Using it from the beginning of the year to the end of the year will be such a treat! Plus, students will have their own iPads to see notifications when they earn/lose points. I'm so excited! Thank you for making such an awesome product and making it free for parents/teachers. :)
